A bop is a song that's ridiculously good and instantly replayable. The second it comes on, heads start moving, people start grinning, and nobody's reaching for skip. It's the kind of track that lives in your brain rent-free for days.

Where it comes from
Bop was already around in jazz and dance talk in the early 20th century, tied to bouncing or moving to music. From there it slid neatly into music slang, where a song so catchy it makes you bop along got called a bop too.
