The Magikito Movement

What is this Magikitos thing?

The Magikitos are cheerful, mischievous gnomes who defend everyday joy and good vibes. But they are much more than handmade porcelain figures. They are a feeling, a movement we all carry inside: the desire to live, the joy found in simplicity, the magic hidden in the everyday.

Each Magikito represents one or more sparks that reveal themselves when you appreciate the little things. A calm coffee, an aimless stroll, an unhurried conversation.

And the best part is you don't need to buy anything to be part of it. It's something we can all join, because we all have a great Magikito inside us. You just have to let it out. Read our manifesto if you truly want to understand what this is all about.

Who's behind all this?

Carmen. A person who creates because she needs to create. No moulds, no factories, no marketing plans. The Magikitos are born from her hands, from her walks through the forest gathering moss and twigs, and from the conviction that creating with your hands is the best therapy in the world.

This isn't a business. It's a way of life that, incidentally, helps pay the bills. The Magikitos exist because Carmen creates them. If someone decides to adopt one, great. If not, also great. They'll keep on existing regardless.

What are the Magical Sparks?

The Sparks are 12 living energies that inhabit the Universe according to the Magikitos:

  • Love, Friendship, Fortune, Protection
  • Calm, Joy, Creativity, Wisdom
  • Adventure, Nature, Home, Dreams

Each creature carries one or more of these sparks. And they say it's not you who chooses the Magikito, but the Magikito who chooses you, recognising the sparks you need at each moment of your life.

Discover more about each one in the Magical Sparks.

What kinds of creatures are there?

Three families coexist in the Magikito universe, each with their own personality:

  • Gnomes: Made from cold porcelain. Active, mischievous and adventurous. They love stealing socks, playing pranks and getting into trouble (with good intentions). Perfect for desks and spaces where things happen.
  • Fairies: Made from pure sheep's wool. Calm, zen and contemplative. Guardians of flowers, seasons and peaceful spaces. Ideal for bedrooms and corners where you need tranquility.
  • Animagikitos: Animal companions with magical powers. Born explorers who protect the most remote corners of the forest. Each with their own story and mission.

Content & Magical Universe

What is the Daily Menu?

It's our daily magical magazine. Every day a new menu is published with varied content: jokes, scientific curiosities, recipes, reflections, film recommendations and stories.

Each section is written and narrated by a different gnome with their own personality and way of telling things. Perfect for starting or ending the day with good vibes, or as an alternative for consuming educational content that has no infinite scroll but renews every day.

Try today's.

Can I listen to narrated stories?

Yes! In the Stories section you'll find short tales about the adventures of the Magikitos, narrated by Carmen from her workshop.

These are stories where values appear naturally, without forced morals: friendship, creativity, empathy, all woven into the adventure in an organic way.

Do you have articles or a blog?

Yes. In the Articles section we publish guides, reflections and workshop gossip. It's where we get a little more serious (just a little) and share what we think about creating, living slowly and finding magic in everyday moments.

You can also learn about the story of the Taramundi forest, the ancestral home of the Magikitos, in the Taramundi.

Games & Experiences

What is the Setometer?

The Setometer is the collective meter of the Magikitos. We use it to compare things that at first glance can't be compared, but thanks to our unit of measurement (the setin), can be compared perfectly.

Try it and get ready to discover things about yourself you didn't know.

What is the Castellanario?

It's our collaborative dictionary of Spanish expressions catalogued by region. Because saying things in Andalusia isn't the same as in Asturias, and that richness deserves to be celebrated.

Discover how things are said in every corner of the world, vote for your favourite expressions and contribute with those from your area. Because Spanish is an incredibly rich language and every town has its own way of saying things.

Explore the Castellanario and add your linguistic grain of sand.

What is Magikitos Radio?

It's our music station. Songs from the Magikito universe that keep you company while you work, read or simply need a moment of good sonic vibes. Many of them are Spanish expressions turned into hilarious tunes.

Music to brighten your day without complications. Hit play on the Radio.

What is the Magikitos Quiz?

It's a personality test that helps you discover which sparks resonate with you. The questions adapt to your profile and the result connects you with the sparks you need most.

You can take it for yourself or to find the perfect gift for someone special. Because giving a Magikito isn't giving an object, it's giving an intention.

Community & Participation

How can I participate in all this?

In a thousand ways. And none of them require opening your wallet:

  • Read the Daily Menu every morning (or whenever you fancy).
  • Play the Setometer and discover what really bothers you.
  • Contribute expressions from your area to the Castellanario.
  • Listen to the narrated stories .
  • Share photos of your Magikito on Instagram if you've adopted one.
  • Write to us for a chat. Seriously, we love it.

This isn't about buying. It's about feeling, sharing and enjoying. If anything we do brings a smile to your face, you're already part of this.

Can I write to you directly?

We love chatting. You can write to us by email at contacto@magikitos.com or via WhatsApp at +34 661 506 521. We always prefer WhatsApp because it's more personal and fun.

Plus we'll reply without corporate waffle and certainly without canned responses. We answer with warmth, personality and a genuine desire to get to know you.

Tell us whatever you like: questions, stories, photos or simply a hello. Anything goes. Write to us.

Do you share community photos?

Yes! And they make us incredibly happy. If you have Instagram, tag @magikitos in your photos. You can also send them to us by email or WhatsApp.

We share the best ones on social media (always with permission, of course). The Magikito community is what makes all of this meaningful.

The Magic Shop

How does adoption work?

Here you don't buy, you adopt. Each Magikito is unique and unrepeatable, handmade without moulds. When you adopt one, that piece disappears forever from the shop because no other like it exists in the world.

One eye might be a tiny bit bigger than the other. A slightly crooked smile. One ear a bit higher. And that's precisely what gives it soul. Imperfections are what's truly wonderful.

It's a special moment: the Magikito was waiting for you to arrive.

Where can you buy a gnome?

On the official Magikitos website you can see all the porcelain gnomes currently for sale. It's the official and most recommended channel to adopt your gnome, as all pieces are handmade in Taramundi.

Can you buy them in person?

Yes, although the only place in the world where you'll find them physically is in their homeland: Taramundi. Right in the centre of the village, next to the town hall, you'll find the Telar de Susana. There you can buy Magikitos.

What are they made of?

The Gnomes are made from cold porcelain, a mouldable and resistant material. The Fairies are a different story: pure sheep's wool, incredibly soft to the touch, warm and 100% natural.

They often feature forest elements: twigs, pebbles, moss and leaves collected on nature walks. ✨

Are the Magikitos handmade?

No, they're made with the heart. Carmen's hands merely translate the energy that reaches them from nature, but sometimes it's as if they decide to be born on their own.

The legends of Taramundi whisper that what drives a Magikito to be born is that someone in the world needs a bit of good vibes, and from the moment the Magikito is born... it's already known they're destined to find that person someday.

Can I customise a Magikito?

That's not possible. Magikitos are born as they want to be born, from the inspiration of the moment, without rush or pressure. Good sauces are cooked on a low flame.

But that's the beautiful part... there's nothing to think about, because the Magikitos already know you and know what you need.

The Practical Stuff

How long does shipping take?

Between 3 and 7 working days for deliveries within Spain. Each Magikito is lovingly prepared when adopted, carefully wrapped, and says goodbye to their companions before setting off on the journey to their new home.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, absolutely. The Magikitos are true adventurers, if there's one thing they love it's travelling. They always carry Taramundi in their hearts but they always want to travel because their greatest dream in life is for the entire planet to become a giant ball flooded with good vibes.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs vary depending on the artisan. Each artisan charges their own shipping fees and prepares packages separately, so if you buy from several artisans you may receive multiple packages. Shipping costs are calculated automatically in the cart.

What payment methods do you accept?

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. You can pay by credit or debit card and other methods available in your area. Fully encrypted and secure.

At no point are payment details stored on the official website or shared with Carmen, as they are protected by Stripe, which acts as an intermediary.

Can I return a Magikito?

As each Magikito is unique and handmade, casual returns are not accepted. When adopted, they're overjoyed to have a new family and home... it's a bit traumatic having to come back from the trip before spreading their good vibes.

But if it arrives broken or with any issue, you can contact Carmen immediately and she'll try to find a solution.

How do I care for my Magikito?

For porcelain Gnomes:

  • No water - If dust settles, a dry cloth and you're done.
  • Avoid direct sunlight - We like vitamin D, but too much sun can fade us.
  • Safe spot - A shelf, a desk, any cosy corner where they won't fall.
  • Talk to them - A "good morning" cheers them up. Seriously.

For wool Fairies:

  • No water or humidity - Wool clumps and loses its softness.
  • Gentle brushing - If the wool flattens, reshape it with your fingers. Like fluffing a pillow.
  • Soft brush for dust - No hoovers or noisy gadgets.
  • Touch them - Textures matter. Don't leave them stored away, bring them out and enjoy them.
