Street voices
"be so for real is basically telling someone like okay like come on like be serious or like stop joking or like stop exaggerating or like like come on you're like overdoing it that's basically be so for real an example would be oh my god you just paid $30 for coffee be so for real"
What it means
You throw this at somebody when they're being absurd, doing the most, or expecting you to treat their nonsense like it deserves applause. It's basically a longer, sharper be serious with side-eye all over it. Perfect for weak excuses, fake-sounding stories, or moments where someone's dragging the drama way past reasonable.
Usage examples
"Girl, you paid thirty bucks for an iced latte and a sad croissant? Be so for real, that café is robbing yall in daylight."
"You skipped one class and now you're talking about how your whole future is ruined. Be so for real."
"He said he needs three days to recover from one gym session. Be so for real, you did two squats and took selfies."
