Street voices

"Say it louder or say it louder for the people in the back. It's basically when someone says something or does something and you really agree with that statement. We want to support that statement. An example would be, you know, a teacher announcing, oh, there's going to be no more homework for the rest of the year. And a student would say, say it louder for the people in the back."

What it means

Means you agree with what was just said so hard that regular agreement feels too tiny. You throw this out when someone speaks facts, calls something out, or says exactly what everybody needed to hear. It borrows the image of a room where the truth needs repeating louder, and online it became a classic bit of hypey backup.

Usage examples

"The professor said mental health days should count as real sick days, and half the class went say it louder for the people in the back."
"She said jobs asking for five years' experience shouldn't pay entry-level money, and everybody in the comments was like say it louder for the people in the back."
"My cousin said rest is productive too, and I had to hit him with say it louder for the people in the back."
