I make an excellent cup of tea and a deeply suspicious batch of pancakes, which feels like balance. I’m weirdly fond of rainy walks, tiny museums, and the sort of pubs with carpets that have seen things. I keep a running list of excellent dogs I’ve met, complete with nicknames, and I once got emotionally attached to a sourdough starter called Bernard. If you catch me in the kitchen, I’m probably dancing badly while waiting for toast. I like people who laugh at daft jokes, point at the moon, and have strong feelings about biscuits. I will absolutely stop to admire a good lamp.
