What it means
Saying someone snapped means they delivered something flawless and powerful, an outfit, a verse, a performance, with such impact it stuns. Pure peak-form energy: she snapped and left everyone speechless.

Where it comes from
It comes straight from snap, the sharp crack of something hitting clean and exact. In Black and queer slang, especially through ballroom and online stan talk, snapped grew into praise for somebody who went crazy in the best way and delivered with precision, style, and impact.
