What it means
Means about to or going to in the very near future. It comes from fixing to and fixin' to, filtered through AAVE pronunciation and then blown up by hip hop and the internet. You drop it right before a verb when you're on the edge of doing something, not next week, like right now.

"I'm finna head out, y'all need anything from the store, or are you just gonna keep scrolling and act surprised when I'm gone?"
"I'm finna grab some food, you want anything before I head out?"
"We finna be late if you don't hurry up, the movie starts in ten."

Where it comes from
Finna comes from fixing to, later fixin' to, an older Southern way to say you're about to do something. In AAVE it got compressed into finna and settled in as its own everyday marker before a verb. Rap, online talk, and pop culture spread it way past its home turf.
