Came up through Black and Latinx queer ballroom and drag talk, then took over the internet. If someone says you’re snatched, it’s a proper compliment, not a robbery report.

Where it comes from
It comes from snatch, literally to grab or pull quick. In Black and Latinx queer ballroom and drag spaces, that got flipped into praise for a look pulled so tight and polished it felt locked in. From there, snatched spread hard online and into everyday hype talk.
