What it means

Shithousery is peak deliberate nuisance behaviour. It’s all the cheeky little dark arts done on purpose to rattle people, waste time, bend the edge of the rules, or make the other side absolutely lose it. You hear it loads in football for stuff like fake cramp, slow restarts, booting the ball away, or acting innocent after winding everyone up. Horrible when it’s against you, weirdly beautiful when your lot are doing it.

Where it is said

Where it comes from

It comes from shithouse, older British slang for a sly, shameless wind-up merchant, with -ery added to turn it into the behaviour. Shithousery really found its feet in UK football chat, where it became the perfect label for crafty, annoying time-wasting and rule-bending gamesmanship that drives everyone mad.
