Street voices

"I'm crying is what you say when you know you're laughing a lot, you know, something has you crying. You're not obviously crying, but you know, maybe some tears of laughter may come out, which is hence where you know, I'm crying came from. An example would be, oh my God, did you see what Jason sent? His text has me crying."

What it means

You say this when something is so funny you've fully lost the plot. It doesn't mean you're literally sobbing, it's just big dramatic internet chat energy for laughing way too hard. People toss it into texts, group chats, comments, and memes when a joke hits so hard your face is gone and your dignity has packed a little suitcase.

Usage examples

"Jason sent that typo to the whole class chat and now I'm crying, because why did he accidentally invite the professor to brunch."
"Nah, the way she said it with a straight face, I'm crying."
"He posted that cursed school photo and I'm crying in the group chat."
