What it means
Used to big up something as proper good, cool, or good-looking. Comes from Dame Judi Dench being the definition of quality, then got rinsed in grime and UK rap, with Lethal Bizzle helping push it mainstream. If your trainers are dench, they’re certified and worth rating. Sounds a bit daft, still bangs.
Usage examples
"That trim is dench, bruv, I’m gassed for you. Drop the barber’s Insta, yeah? Man’s trying to look peng for Saturday."
"His new tracksuit is dench, the shop on the high street had one in his size and he is been wearing it three days in a row, his mum is threatening to wash it tonight."
"The new burger spot in Peckham is absolutely dench, queues round the block from Friday lunch onwards, and they ran out of buns by half four every Saturday this month."
