"lil bro a dismissive way to refer to someone look I think we really ought to plan out like a work schedule for this group project I mean it's a pretty hefty one you know yeah whatever you say lil bro okay whatever man"
What it means
A patronizing way to address someone so you can talk down to them, brush off what they said, or make them sound small-time and out of their depth.
Usage examples
"Look, I think we really ought to plan out a work schedule for this group project. It is a pretty hefty one, you know. Yeah, whatever you say, lil bro."
"Nobody asked you, lil bro, sit this one out."
"He tried to lecture the coach and got a flat calm down, lil bro."
"You keep typing essays in the group chat, lil bro, nobody's reading all that."
"Lil bro really thought he cooked with that take."
Where it comes from
Built from lil, a casual spelling of little, plus bro. It started off sounding brotherly or teasing, but online and in everyday trash talk it flipped into a put-down. Calling someone lil bro frames them as the younger, smaller one in the room, so their take gets waved off.
