What it means
Yeet means to throw, launch, or chuck something with full commitment and a dash of chaos. People also yell yeet right as they do it, so it works as both the move and the hype sound that comes with it. It blew up online in the 2010s and stuck because it sounds reckless, funny, and weirdly satisfying.

Where it comes from
Yeet blew up in the mid 2010s through Vine, meme culture, and online gaming chat. A big early push came from viral clips where people shouted yeet while throwing something, especially the famous can-toss video. From there it stuck as internet slang for hurling stuff with loud, chaotic confidence.
