"FYP just stands for For You Page, which refers to, you know, your feed on TikTok. It can also be referred to as your feed on Instagram, but FYP is mainly for TikTok, but also counts for Instagram as well, or any other major social media platform. An example can be, you know, I need to delete TikTok, my FYP is all over the place, nothing makes sense and I can't anymore."
What it means
FYP stands for For You Page, the main feed that keeps serving you videos the app reckons you will obsess over. It started with TikTok but loads of people now throw it around for Instagram and other feeds too. When someone says their FYP is cursed, chaotic, or weirdly accurate, they mean the algorithm has gone feral again.

"My FYP went from skincare to conspiracy ducks to breakup tarot in ten minutes, so yeah, the app clearly thinks my brain is a garage sale."

Where it comes from
It’s literally short for For You Page, TikTok’s name for the main feed of recommended videos. Once TikTok blew up, FYP escaped the app and became everyday internet shorthand. People still use it most for TikTok, but loads also say it for similar algorithm feeds on Instagram and elsewhere.
