What it means
Means something’s been handled, arranged, or fixed, so everyone can relax. You’ll hear it for bookings, problems, money, anything. Get it sorted is a firm nudge to deal with it sharpish. All sorted is the satisfying wrap-up when the chaos finally stops. Can even mean you’re stocked up, like I’m sorted for drinks.
Usage examples
"You got the tickets and the Uber? Yeah, all sorted, mate. Pre-drinks in the fridge, charger in my pocket, we’re off."
"Do not worry about the tickets, I have already got them sorted."
"Need a lift? No thanks, I am sorted, my brother is picking me up."
Where it comes from
Straight from sort out, to put in order or deal with. Once something is sorted it is handled, arranged and off your plate, no loose ends left. British and very common, it stretches to a relaxed all good or no worries when someone offers help: cheers, I am sorted. Said of a person, being sorted means settled, comfortable and on top of life, with everything nicely in its place.
