What it means
Doing everything you can to maximise your appearance, from skincare and gym to haircuts and posture. It started in niche online forums and spread into a half-serious, half-meme obsession with optimising your face and body like a stat to be levelled up.
Usage examples
"He has a ten-step routine now and calls it looksmaxxing, we call it washing his face."
"Half the advice under looksmaxxing is just drink water and sleep properly."
"He's been on a proper looksmaxxing arc lately, new haircut, skincare, gym, the whole package."
"TikTok turned looksmaxxing into gospel for a minute, then everyone realised half of it was just sleep more and stop looking dusty."

Edit, fix or tell us something. We review it and, if it is true, you will see it applied with your name on it.
Where it comes from
It comes from online forum slang built out of looks plus maxxing, a spin on maxing or min-maxing from gaming culture. The idea is treating attractiveness like a stat you can grind up through routines, tweaks, discipline, and endless optimisation chat.
