What it means
Rinsed means absolutely done for. You got hit so thoroughly that there's not much dignity, money, or comeback left. You can get rinsed in an argument when everyone's taking turns cooking you and you've got nothing back, or get rinsed on a night out when the drinks, taxi, and bad decisions have emptied your account.

Where it comes from
It comes from the literal idea of rinsing something right out till it's cleared through. In UK slang, especially from the 90s onward, it spread into meaning getting thoroughly taken for a ride, mocked, used up, or cleaned out financially. It stuck hard in British youth talk, club chat, and everyday banter.
