What it means
Glazing is when someone keeps hyping a person up so hard it stops sounding normal and starts sounding shameless. It’s over-the-top praise, heavy enough to make everyone else in the room cringe a bit. You’ll hear it online, in sports chat, and anytime someone’s acting like a full-time cheerleader for one person.
Usage examples
"We get it, you love the new phone, stop glazing it for five minutes."
"The whole panel was glazing him so hard it got awkward to watch."
"Bro was glazing the manager in the meeting like a promotion was hiding under the table."
"Every time she posts, her comments are full of people glazing like she cured Mondays."

Where it comes from
It comes from glaze, the glossy coating on doughnuts, cakes, and pastries. Online slang turned that image into a joke for excessive praise, like you’re coating someone in a shiny, sugary layer of compliments. The term blew up in gaming, sports, and social media chat during the 2020s.
