People use it both sincerely and sarcastically, so it can sound admiring, mocking, or fully side-eye depending on who's saying it.

Where it comes from
Tradwife is a clipped blend of traditional and wife. It started showing up online in the 2010s, especially in right-wing, anti-feminist and lifestyle corners of the internet, then spread wider through social media as both a self-label and a drag for people performing a glossy retro homemaker persona.
