What it means
Hangxiety is that wave of dread and embarrassment that hits the morning after a big night out, when the hangover comes with a side of did-I-really-say-that panic. Your head pounds and your brain replays every cringe moment on a loop. The more fun the night, the worse the hangxiety, and no amount of toast quite fixes it.
Usage examples
"The hangxiety hit hard, I spent all morning convinced I'd offended everyone."
"Two glasses of wine now and I get hangxiety, getting old is wild."
Where it comes from
A blend of hangover and anxiety that spread online in the 2010s as people put a name to the morning-after dread.
