What it means
To drag someone is to criticize or mock them hard and publicly, hauling their choices through the mud with no mercy. Harsher than a roast, often when someone genuinely messed up: he got dragged in the comments.
Usage examples
"The whole internet dragged him for that take."
"She got dragged for charging that much."
"He posted that weak apology and got dragged all over TikTok."
"Girl, they dragged that brand for copying a smaller designer."

Where it comes from
This sense grows out of drag meaning to pull or haul something along. In queer and Black American slang, especially drag and ballroom spaces, it sharpened into verbally pulling somebody apart in public. From there it spread online, where getting dragged means getting ruthlessly called out by a crowd.
