The Power of Imagination (and How to Unlock It)

You humans are all pretty similar. You’re the result of millions and millions of years of evolution. You’re all born with a pair of little feet, a pair of ears, a pair of arms, and a powerful brain that can imagine.

Imagine!… honestly, even the word sounds good.

And yep, it really does sound good. It’s just a shame you’re slowly losing that gorgeous gift. Days go by and you spend them staring at your phone, consuming stuff that’s already been pre-made. Letting someone else do the imagining for you.

And that’s not totally bad. Loads of films, pieces of art, and everyday things are born from someone’s imagination. That cute mug that makes your mornings brighter. A rock anthem that hits you right in the nostalgia and makes you feel. Even that big, beautiful movie that tells a story and lights a fire in you.

Life is full of imagination-made things. And that’s fantastic.

The problem is you get so deep into living other people’s imagination that you stop letting your own loose.

We get caught in it too sometimes, stuck in that endless content spiral that ends up consuming us. We can lose hours watching travel guides, doing infinite scroll on the screen, without even knowing what we’re looking for.

And when we notice we’re doing that, sometimes we get a little sad.

Because not everything we watch feeds us in a positive, real way. A lot of it is bad news, problems, fights, drama… or just stuff so pointless it doesn’t even make sense. It eats your time. And worse, it nibbles away at your ability to imagine.

Magikitos and Imagination

With this project, we truly feel like we’re making something. Like we’re using imagination in its purest form.

This world was born from wanting to dream. From wanting something more than empty content that brings nothing. From wanting to bring joy and good vibes to a world that’s often flooded with bad news and problems.

And yeah, we do sell things on this site. In a way there’s money exchanged for a product. So someone could call that hypocrisy: “look at them, talking about magic and Brownies of friendship, when all they want is to sell little figurines”.

You’re totally allowed to see it that way. But let us tell you something, when we really stop and think about it, it honestly doesn’t matter to us whether we sell or not. We make Magikitos because it calms us down. We write these lines because it sets us free. And we keep adding colour to the things we imagine because that’s how we exist. None of that needs money. It’s pure creativity.

When someone adopts a Magikito, we don’t feel like we’re tricking anyone. In the end, you’re paying for the materials, and you’re helping with a little coffee, some sidra, a bite to eat, and keeping the lights, water, and the workshop going.

To imagine is to dream, and to dream is to create.
